Meet Shelley Hearp Cooper

Born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, I am a proud alumna of Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business. My husband, Taz, and I have been married for over 30 years. We raised our three children here and have spent our summers at Smith Mountain Lake for more than 25 years.

My professional background began in the insurance and investment industry before transitioning into real estate. I launched my real estate career in 2008 through the purchase, ownership, and management of rental properties - an experience that sparked a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s transitions through real estate.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors - whether spending time at the lake, enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Roanoke Valley, or golfing with my husband, where we appreciate the scenery as much as the game itself (as we are admittedly not very good).

Real estate has truly become a family business. I work alongside my daughter, Abigail, at MKB, offering clients the benefit of a collaborative, two-for-one approach. My son is a commercial real estate broker, and my husband is involved in property management. Grounded in strong values, I am deeply committed to serving my clients with care, integrity, and professionalism. Every client and situation is unique, and I believe each deserves a personalized approach - never a one-size-fits-all solution.
