There are outdoor activities and events that showcase the beautiful fall colors in the Blue Ridge Mountains, as well as farmers markets and festivals that feature the fall harvest at local farms and orchards.
Many of us take for granted our beautiful SWVA landscape and the various offerings of my hometown. It's a great time to get outside in Virginia's Blue Ridge and enjoy the beautiful weather and overall excitement for this special part of the year. It is such an inspiring time for both young and old alike."
Here are just a few of the popular events happening soon here in our region:
Sinkland Farms 32nd Annual Pumpkin Festival - Sinkland Farms - September 29 - October 29 (Friday - Sunday)

If you're asking, "Where can I get the best pumpkin spice in the Roanoke Valley?" I have the answer!
It's that time of year again - where even before the leaves change a beautiful orange and red and the cool breeze takes over the humid air, all the coffee shops begin preparing us for the season to come. Yes friends, it is pumpkin spice season!

2023 marks MKB's 50th anniversary. Throughout this year, MKB has made significant efforts to expand our support of the community that has shown us its support for 50 years. We are committed to giving back at least $50,000 to local charities. Our agents are stepping up to contribute 50 hours of time in volunteer efforts – with over 200 agents, this is more than 10,000 volunteer hours.
As a culmination of this effort, we are hosting a first-of-its-kind benefit gala at Hotel Roanoke on Friday, November 3rd, and YOU are invited! MKB is honored to partner with Renovation Alliance for this charitable event as we believe homeownership is a bedrock of building and sustaining healthy, safe communities.
As a RA Board Member, I can attest to the critical work RA does for some of our area's most vulnerable citizens. Proceeds from the Gala will go directly to RA to fund free home repairs for low income homeowners living right here in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. Renovation Alliance has been in existence for nearly 25 years, and, as MKB, is committed to providing the community with more than shelter – their efforts allow families and individuals to enjoy owning, living in, and thriving in a home that is their own. A home that is warm, safe, and dry.
Please join us at our Celebration Gala! Tickets will be sold for $150.00 each, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to supporting Renovation Alliance. Each purchase will be tax deductible.
Click here for the full event website and to purchase a ticket. Unique and impactful event sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Don't miss the opportunity to join us at this unique, celebratory event supporting efforts to lift up the lives of others in our community!
