Will Gen-Z Ever Buy a Home?

My friend group consists of a handful of twenty-somethings who would be there for each other day and night. We laugh together, we pick on each other and even lend each other a few dollars from time to time. Every week, the four of us find ourselves sitting in a lop-sided circle under one of our carports. Usually in a mis-matched set of camping chairs on their last limb.
Last year during one of these sessions, I spoke up and said, "I think I'm going to become a Realtor." A short pause from the group.
"Do people still even buy houses?"
If you're one of the Roanoke Valley's 1,800 real estate licensees, this question may seem out of touch. If you were born between 1997-2006, commonly known as Generation-Z, this may seem like a valid question. Especially if 73% of your generation did not own a home.
